The Miss Malaika Ghana 2007 Beauty Pageant came off last saturday at the National Theatre in Accra and as usual there were some Ghanaian Musicians to shake up the night.
20-year-old Laurie Naa Lamle Lawson who aspires to be a surgeon took home a Kia Cerato car from Rana Motors, GH¢2000 cash prize, a set of living room furniture, the Miss Malaika crown, jewellery and other attractive prizes from sponsors.
Becca picked an earlier performance that night. Unfortunately our cameras were not there early enough to get a glimpse of her.
Stars of the Future One proteges Irene Logan and Jane Awindor took turns to perform some tunes of their debut album “Unveiled”. They were backed by their skillful stage dancers who put up a wonderful stage performance.
One question that kept on ringing on the minds of most audience was whether Kofi B was now in K K Fosu’s D-Style camp. K K Fosu earlier join Kofi B sing is “Yaw Dompreh” and “Koforidua Flowers” as Kofi B reciprocated the guesture by joining K K Fosu as he also staged his performance.

As part of events marking its 10th Anniversary, Tv3 - Ghana’s foremost private free-to-air (FTA) television network will this evening (31st November 2007) hold a live band music concert at its premises in Accra.
TV3 has been marking their anniversary with series of entertaining events since the beginning of this month.
Two weeks ago, there was a cake cutting ceremony to mark the Official 10th Birthday.
Ghanaian Musicians performing tonite are Ghana Music Award Winner Nana Quame, Ohemaa Mercy and Dancehall/hiplife artist Bandana.
The event will also witness top Ghanaian Radio and TV Presenters like Papa sly(Top Radio), DJ Abio(Channel R), Emma Morrison(TV3), Jimmy Quist(Citi FM), BB Mendson(Radio Gold) and Abeiku Santana(AdomFM).

MOGO IS HERE WITH US AGAIN!
Citi Fm, a private radio station in Accra has started publicizing this year’s edition of “Music of Ghanaian Origin” [MOGO]. The show which started two years with its maiden edition brought together many veteran Highlife musicians to celebrate Ghanaian Music.
This year’s edition will take place at the National Theatre on the 7th of December 2007 @ 8pm.
The Rate is a cool GH¢ 25.
Some of the top notched Ghanaian Highlife Musicians who will be performing that night include Daddy Lumba and Nana Acheampong of The Lumba Brothers Fame, Ramblers International Band, C. K. Mann, Paulina Oduro, Paapa Yankson, Mac Tontoh and Pat Thomas.
The theme of the concert is “Celebrating the Past, Inspiring the Future” is proudly sponsored by Coca Colo, MTN and Citi FM

K. K. Fosu stormed the MTN Sports Academy House with some members of his D-style Camp; Amongst them was D-Flex, brother of the late Mufti Dabre.
The young hiplife artist who sings both in Twi and Hausa opened the floor for K K Fosu with a D-style Anthem.
K K Fosu, as usual left no stone unturned as he thrilled the sports academy fanatics to good music. Ghanaian Hiplife Star Kwabena Kwabena performed that night singing his favourite hit “Aso”.
Earlier on saturday, Kwabena Kwabena came second in the celebrity race of the Ghana Go Car championship at the La-Raceway. Also driving behind the wheels was Captain Planet of 4×4 Fame and Killy of Five Five Fame. Rap Ninja Sidney came 3rd.
Ghana’s representative for this year’s Big Brother Africa - KWAKU T was on Allo Tigo as he granted audience to an interview with Jon Germain. The Ghanaian Hip hop musician talked at length about his stay in the Big Brother House. He hinted that he was going to bring down Meryl for Christmas.

But for the heavy rain storm that hit Accra, the capital city of Ghana this morning, music fanatics would by now be enjoying good music from the American R&B singer, songwriter, and pianist John Legend and Reggae Music Legend Luciano at the Independence square in Accra.
The show was put off due to this unanticipated rain storm.
However organizers say the show will come off live tomorrow Sunday 27th, 2007 at the same venue which is the Independence square …… Rain or No Rain …..
If you bought a ticket for Saturday’s concert, you still qualify to use it for sunday’s concert …..
Come jam with John Legend and Luciano as well as some of the top Ghanaian musicians like hiplife music grandpapa Reggie Rockstone, Obrafour, Tinny, Slim Busterr, King Ayisoba, Ohemaa Mercy, Gyedu Blay-Ambolley and Wulomei
